JAKARTA – On Friday, April 11, foreign investor trades on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were once more closed with a net buy. The number of foreign net buy volume increased to 860.75 million shares today from 689.87 million shares on the previous trading day.

The total amount of foreign trade today was also higher than the 4.5–5 billion shares that were traded on the previous trading day (10 April). 6.23 billion shares were purchased by foreign buyers today, representing the total volume of foreign buys. Today, foreign investors registered a net buy of 860.75 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 5.36 billion shares.

Once more, the shares of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) had the most foreign transactions. In this digital service issuer, foreign investors purchased 1.12 billion shares and sold 860.95 million, for a net buy of 267.91 million shares.

With a net purchase of 136.76 million shares, mineral mining issuer PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) came in second, followed by its parent firm, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), with 86.76 million shares. BRMS's foreign transactions sold 65.08 million shares and bought 201.84 million shares. In contrast, BUMI's foreign investors sold just 13.59 million shares while its foreign buy volume surpassed 100 million shares.

PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy infrastructure company, and PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) , an oil and gas tanker company, each had 7 million shares of foreign sell volume. However, with a buy volume of 56.33 million, BIPI made 49.29 million in net buy. BULL's buying volume was 50.01 million, with a net buy of 42.30 million shares.

On the other hand, foreigners did not purchase any shares of PT Selaras Citra Nusantara Perkasa Tbk (SCNP), despite the fact that 64.15 million shares were sold. The shares of this company that manufactures home and medical equipment were also net sold for the same amount.

After 119.39 million of its shares were purchased and 178.89 million were sold by foreigners, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI)  came in second with a net sell of 59.49 million shares. After its foreign investors sold 55.73 million shares and only purchased 18 million shares of the e-commerce issuer, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) saw a net sell of 37.54 million shares.

The list was closed with a net sell of 35.74 million shares of mining contractor issuer PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA)  and 34.70 million shares of banking issuer PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI). Nearly 27 million shares were purchased by foreigners in DEWA, while 62.63 million shares were sold. In the meantime, BBRI's foreign investors sold almost 96 million shares, and its buying volume was 61.61 million. (KD)
