JAKARTA – The list of changes in share ownership above 5% of the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Wednesday, 16 April, highlighted the sale and purchase of two new investors of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL), PT Bali Media Telekomunikasi and PT XL Axiata Tbk itself.

Bali Media, the controller of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), bought 2.38 billion EXCL shares via PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (TRIM) and PT Supra Sekuritas Indonesia and immediately controlled 18.15% of the shares.

In addition, PT XL Axiata Tbk bought 940.41 million of its shares, with ownership of around 7.16%. The buyback transaction was facilitated also by TRIM.

On the other hand, Axiata Investments (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd, the controller of EXCL, sold 2.38 billion shares through PT Semesta Indovest Sekuritas, reducing ownership from 66.25% to 48.09%.

Bank of Singapore Limited purchased more shares in two distinct issuers. In order to increase its ownership to 12.69%, this foreign investor first purchased 531.73 million shares of PT Digital Mediatama Maxima Tbk (DMMX), a provider of digital services. Then, with a final share allotment of 9.47%, this investor purchased 25.82 million shares of PT M Cash Integrasi Tbk (MCAS), a distributor of digital products. The purchase of both shares was done via Citibank, N.A.

Then, through PT Ciptadana Sekuritas Asia, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) purchased 12.39 million shares of PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk (ADMR). Currently, this controller owns about 84.35% of the shares in its metallurgy-related subsidiary.

However, by selling over 145 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), CGS International Securities Singapore Pte Ltd. executed the highest share reduction. This investor's stakes fell to 17.89% in the energy infrastructure company through PT CGS International Sekuritas Indonesia.

Following then, UOB Kay Hian Private Limited, another foreign investor, sold 150 thousand shares of PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (TUGU), leaving 15.86% of the shares remaining.

Following the sale of 117.46 million shares of property issuer PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG), PT MNC Sekuritas saw a 13.29% decline in its share.

Lastly, Lim Oi Wah ultimately sold 4.34 million shares of PT Dana Brata Luhur Tbk (TEBE) through PT Surya Fajar Sekuritas, leaving 5.15% of the shares in this equity participation issuer. (KD)
