JAKARTA - Today, Tuesday (1/11), begins with the sale of more than 1,2 billion BIPI shares by PT Indotambang Perkasa. The fantastic amount of divestment caused PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk's majority shareholder to reduce its ownership by 2% to 21.5%.

PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA) also experienced the divestment of its controlling shareholders, whose shares continued to be sold by PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, resulting in a decrease of 16.7 million shares. Furthermore, PT Asuransi Simas Jiwa recorded the sale of 3.5 million shares of PT Bank Capital Indonesia Tbk (BACA).

From the foreign trading, the divestment strategy was also carried out on three issuers. First, Bank of Singapore Ltd sold 9.6 million shares of PT Bank Amar Indonesia (AMAR), then Cathay Life Insurance Co Ltd once again sold another 6 million shares of PT Bank Mayapada Internasional Tbk (MAYA), and UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong) Ltd is continuing its divestment of PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk by selling 1.8 million shares of BCAP.

Amid a fairly long list of divestments, PT Kioson Komersial Indonesia Tbk (KIOS) managed to attract a new investor. A total of 66 million KIOS shares were purchased by PT Gemilang Lintang Nusantara, so it has 6% ownership of this technology issuer. In addition, PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk is continuing its buyback mission by buying 1.1 million DOID shares today.

Of the majority shareholders, PT Delta Wibawa Bersama, the controlling shareholder of a food and beverage issuer, PT Lima Dua Lima Tiga Tbk (LUCY), also increased ownership by 41 million shares, or around 4%. PT Pangan Sejahtera Investama, as the majority shareholder of PT FKS Food Sejahtera Tbk (AISA), also increased its holding of the snacks manufacturer by 4.8 million shares. (KD)
