JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) will pay interim dividend of IDR 57 per share or IDR 8.63 trillion in total to its shareholders.

The Indonesian government, as the controlling shareholder of BBRI, will earn interim dividend of IDR 4.59 trillion. Then, the remaining IDR 4.04 trillion will be channelled to other shareholders, including public investors.

Sunarso, President Director of BBRI, claimed that the interim dividend distribution is a proof of BBRI’s contribution to the nation as a State-owned Enterprise (BUMN). “BRI’s profit will be retuned back to the masses through tax and dividend,” he explained in a press release.

The cum interim dividend in the regular market is set to January 9, 2023, while the cum interim dividend in the cash market follows on January 11, 2023. Then, the actual disbursement will take place on January 27, 2023.

Throughout January-September 2022, BBRI collected a net profit of IDR 39.31 trillion. It also successfully distributed IDR 1,111.48 trillion of credits, recording a non-performing loan (NPL) rate of 3.09%. (KR/ZH)
