JAKARTA - On Monday, March 6, the volume of foreign transactions appeared to be stable. The total number of shares purchased by foreign investors was 2.54 billion, while the total number of shares sold was 2.67 billion. The foreign net volume ended at around -127,617,400. PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) contributed -98.61 million shares to this total after foreign investors sold 274.96 million BUMI shares. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) actually had the highest sales volume, at 1.46 billion shares, but the volume of purchases was also high, resulting in a net volume of only -36.17 million shares.   

Following that, PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) reported a net volume of -36.66 million after foreign investors sold 41.83 million of its shares. Next, the net volumes for PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) and PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) were in the range of minus 18 million shares because reportedly foreign investors sold 62.91 million BBCA shares and 20.70 million MNCN shares.

PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA), on the other hand, had the highest volume of foreign purchases, with 75.14 million shares. The net volume of GIAA was 22.81 million shares, which was immediately followed by 22.37 million shares of PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG). Foreign investors purchased more than 22.43 million WIRG shares while selling only 62 thousand shares, resulting in a relatively large net volume.

Furthermore, foreigners purchased shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) in a volume as high as 64.57 million, making its net volume 21.07 million shares. Ultimately, PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (MIDI) and PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) achieved a net volume of slightly below 20 million shares since each of the shares was sold to foreign hands, at 21.23 million for MIDI and 39.39 million for HMSP.
