JAKARTA – The export value until February 2023 was seen declining 4.15% to USD 21.40 billion from USD 22.32 billion in January 2023.

According to the Statistics Indonesia (lit. Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS) data published on Wednesday (15/3), oil and gas export decreased to USD 1.19 billion in February, whereas non-oil and gas export shrank to USD 20.21 billion. In January 2023, the oil and gas export clocked up to USD 1.49 billion, while the non-oil and gas export arrived at IDR 20.83 billion.

The manufacturing industry contributed the most to the non-oil and gas export of USD 15.52 billion, followed by mining and others of USD 4.35 billion, as well as agriculture, forestry, and fishery of USD 0.34 billion.

The largest target market of exports is China, returning USD 5.04 billion or approximately 24.93% of total export. The United States also contributed USD 1.91 billion or 9.46% of total export, followed by Japan of USD 1.74 billion that is equal to 8.60% of total export in February 2023. (LK/ZH)
