JAKARTA. The Mission French Tech Global, along with Minister of Digital Transition and Telecommunication of France, Jean-Noel Barrot, has inaugurated La French Tech Indonesia, an inclusive, French-based community that gathers and bridges startups, incubators, accelerators, and other tech players in Indonesia.

Anne Caron, Co-President of French Tech, Bali Chapter, claimed that this inclusive community welcomes any party interested in technology. “We unite those tech actors to aid each other in advancing their ambitions, as well as providing the platform for those who want to learn, connect, and promote new initiatives in this space,” she explained in her official statement.

On the other hand, Reza Pir Nazar, Co-President of French Tech, Jakarta Chapter, said that La French Tech Indonesia supports the mission promoted by French Tech Network Global. The mission in question is the formation of collaborations of tech-based startups between Indonesia and France in various sectors, ranging from energy transition (decarbonisation and clean-tech), health tech, e-commerce and fintech, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Conforming with said mission, La French Tech Indonesia will schedule several agendas, including pitch competitions, lunch & learn, pitch & play, monthly networking, and annual summit. This year, the annual summit agenda is expected to be held in Jakarta in next October.

On top of this, La French Tech Indonesia also offers working opportunities in France with Visa Talent facility, which is designed for Indonesian citizen that has education and working experience in the technology ecosystem in Indonesia. (KR/ZH)
