JAKARTA – The profit of PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HSMP) reached IDR 2.16 trillion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, shifting IDR 1.91 trillion in the same period in 2022. However, this achievement has yet to bounce back to its position in 2021 of IDR 2.58 trillion.

Quoted from the Q1 2023 Financial Report published today (27/4), this tobacco product manufacturer’s sales clocked up to IDR 26.96 trillion in Q1 2023. The local sales reached IDR 26.85 trillion, whereas export generated IDR 127.29 billion.

The domestic sales comprise sales of machine-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKM) of IDR 17 trillion, hand-rolled kretek cigarettes (SKT) of IDR 7.27 trillion, machine-rolled white cigarettes (SPM) of IDR 2.01 trillion, hand-rolled white cigarettes (SPT) of IDR 260.75 billion, others of IDR 279.70 billion. This company secured gross profit and profit before taxes of IDR 4.85 trillion and IDR 2.78 trillion.

In Q1 2022, HMSP recorded sales of IDR 26.16 trillion, of which local sales generated IDR 26.11 trillion. The sales consisted of SKM sales of IDR 17.34 trillion, SKT sales of IDR 6.08 trillion, SPM sales of IDR 2.29 trillion, and SPT sales of IDR 191.02 billion, and others of IDR 193.74 billion. The gross profit and earnings before taxes in Q1 2022 clocked up to IDR 4.26 trillion and IDR 2.48 trillion.

In the same period in 2021, the company booked sales of IDR 23.55 trillion, which was accumulated from SKM sales of IDR 15.68 trillion SKT sales of IDR 5.32 trillion, SPM sales of IDR 2.32 trillion, and SPT sales of IDR 36.65 billion, and others of IDR 157.87 billion. Export sales also reached IDR 35.21 billion. In said period, HMSP bagged gross profit and profit before taxes of IDR 5.03 trillion and IDR 3.31 trillion. (LK/ZH)
