JAKARTA - On Friday, May 12, the number of shares purchased by foreign investors nearly reached 5 billion, or 4,990,229,100 shares to be exact. The total shares sold were also quite substantial, namely 3.90 billion shares, but the net foreign volume ended up being a surplus of 1,086,355,100 shares. The trading of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) is noteworthy once again. Foreigners bought more than 3.75 billion GOTO shares, resulting in a net volume of 1.31 billion shares, which was even more than the daily net foreign. In contrast, foreigners sold up to 166.67 million shares of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), and it had the lowest net volume as a result, at -120.99 million.

On a smaller scale, foreign investors were also interested in up to 28.73 million shares of PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk (AMAR). AMAR's net volume was relatively high at 27.57 million shares due to the low sales volume. Additionally, with a net volume of 16.74 million shares, foreigners purchased around 19.88 million shares of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS).

PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), on the other hand, had its shares sold with the second-largest volume after TLKM, totaling 79.24 million shares. The net volume of BMRI, which was minus 52.13 million, however, appeared to be slightly better than that of PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP), which was minus 58.27 million. The number of shares sold by BBKP itself totaled 62.79 million. Additionally, 62.50 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were sold by foreign investors, bringing the net volume to -41.98 million shares. Finally, foreigners sold 30.09 million shares of PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR), resulting in a net volume of -21.57 million for the media and telecommunications issuer. (KD)
