JAKARTA - On Monday, August 21, more than 411 million shares of PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk (GEMS), a coal mining company owned by the Sinarmas Group, were moving. Golden Energy and Resources Limited, a Singapore-based company, sold 411.18 million GEMS shares, but all of them were immediately accommodated by PT Dian Swastika Sentosa Tbk. Interestingly, the three issuers are Sinarmas Group entities. Furthermore, PT Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia purchased 267.96 million shares of palm oil producer PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS).

Meanwhile, after purchasing a large number of GOTO shares on the previous trading day, the foreign investor GOTO Peopleverse Fund decided to sell 1.09 billion shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Then, PT Esa Gemilang released nearly 40 million shares of coal producer PT Black Diamond Resources Tbk (COAL), while electronic retailer PT Electronic City Indonesia Tbk (ECII) sold 13.61 million of its own shares.

Individual investor divestitures were also observed in significant numbers during this period. Paulus Totok Lusida, who sold 95 million shares in the automotive company PT Industri dan Perdagangan Bintraco Dharma Tbk (CARS), was followed by Tandean Rustandy, who sold 50 million shares in the ceramics producer PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA). Furthermore, Charlianto sold 24.49 million shares in the timber company PT Darmi Bersaudara Tbk (KAYU), and Sabana Prawira Widjaja sold 10 million shares in the dairy product producer PT Ultrajaya Milk Industry Tbk (ULTJ).
