JAKARTA - PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT), a subsidiary of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), has signed an agreement with PT Pertamina (Persero) regarding the supply of liquified natural gas (LNG).

Based on the issued information disclosure today (20/9), AMNT is reported having signed the Head of Agreement (HoA) with Pertamina to ensure LNG supply.

The LNG will then be channelled to the most recent combined cycle power plant (CCPP) of AMNT. The energy generated by the plant will be utilised to support the operation of copper smelting facility owned by another subsidiary of AMMN, PT Amman Mineral Industri (AMI).

“The steady supply of LNG to AMNT's CCPP is to support energy provision for the operations of copper smelter and precious metal refinery facilities, expansion of processing plant, and Phase 8 mining,” Vemmy Febrianti, Corporate Secretary of AMMN, explained in the official statement.

AMMN, a newly debuted issuer in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) circa July 7, 2023, claims as the second biggest gold and copper producer in Indonesia. The centre of its operation lies in Batu Hijau Mine in Sumbawa Island, West Nusa Tenggara.

For the record, until August 2023, AMMN managed to position itself as the sixth company with the biggest market capitalisation in IDX, right behind PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM). (ZH)
