JAKARTA. PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a sub-holding of upstream companies under Pertamina Group, has collected 13 awards from SKK Migas in the 4th International Convention on Indonesian Upstream Oil & Gas (ICIUOG) 2023.

Oto Gurnita, Director of Human Resources and Business Support of PHE, mentioned that this award is a result of supports from various parties regarding PHE’s performance in achieving its business targets. “We also express our gratitude to all team members and stakeholders that have supported our performance so that we are able to receive these awards,” he added in the official statement.

As of now, Gurnita said, oil and gas players are challenged with the 2030 national production target of 1 million barrel of oil per day (BOPD) and 12 billion standard cubic feet per day (BSCFD) of gas. “We are confident that we will fulfil the specified target with the support of stakeholders as strategic partners, as well as support from third parties,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Dwi Soetjipto, Head of SKK Migas, mentioned that this year’s ICIUOG records attendance of over 3,000 participants from various countries. “SKK Migas is committed to support all Partnership Contractors to achieve the predetermined production target,” he explained.

The management of PHE further said that currently, the company has been implementing strategies to promote national energy independence. The strategies range from asset management in existing work areas, new exploration, and new added value from those explorations.

In addition, the management claimed that PHE will continue to invest in the management of operation and oil and gas upstream business according to ESG (Environment, Social, & Governance) principles. The implementation of these ESG principles does not only apply to domestic operation but also cross-border operation. (KR/ZH)
