JAKARTA. Indonesian government will hold another auction of Government Sharia Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or State Sukuk next Tuesday, October 10, 2023, with an indicative target of IDR 9 trillion this time.

There will be 6 series of state sukuk offered in this round. They consist of 1 series of Sharia Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara Syariah/SPN-S) and 5 series of Project-Based Sukuk (PBS).

The yield attached for SPN-S is a discount, while 5 series of PBS will have yield that ranges from 5.37% to 6.87%.

The SBSN auction will be carried out using an auction system arranged by Bank Indonesia as the auctioning agent. It will be an open auction that uses multiple-price scheme. All interested parties may submit their bids through pre-specified primary dealers.

According to IDNFinancials data, Indonesian government had previously held an auction of state sukuk on September 26, 2023. In that previous round, the incoming bids reportedly reached IDR 27.78 trillion, while the awarded amount clocked up to IDR 8 trillion. (KR/ZH)
