JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has obtained a total loan facility of US$ 448.07 million from China Development Bank to finance the cost overrun of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train project. Last week (7/2), the disbursement of the facility was forwarded to PT Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia (PSBI).

In an information disclosure quoted on Tuesday (13/2), Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji, Executive Vice President of Corporate Secretary of KAI said that the loan disbursement last week (7 and 5/2) consisted of facility A amounting to US$ 230.99 million and B RMB facility equivalent to US$ 217.08 million.

"The company has signed a facility agreement with China Development Bank to finance the cost overrun of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train project," he said.

In 2022, this rail transportation manager posted total liabilities of IDR 42.50 trillion and total assets of IDR 71.58 trillion. Revenue was IDR 25.57 trillion and profit for the year was IDR 1.68 trillion. Pilar Sinergi BUMN Indonesia, a subsidiary of KAI with 51.37% share ownership in 2022.
