Stay red, foreign investment closed with a net sell 646 million

JAKARTA – On Wednesday, April 9, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange ended with a net sell of 646.94 million shares. This number is higher than the net sale of 509.11 million shares that occurred the day before.
In comparison to the previous trading day (8 April), the volume of international transactions decreased somewhat today as well. The total number of shares purchased by foreign investors today (foreign buy) was 4.50 billion, which is lower than the 4.93 billion shares purchased yesterday. Foreign investors registered a net sell of 646.94 million shares today, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 5.15 billion (down from 5.44 billion shares yesterday).
At 235.49 million shares, the IDX saw the largest net sell of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) today. Nearly 2 billion shares were purchased by this digital service issuer's overseas investors, while 2.23 billion were sold.
After foreigners sold 217.01 million shares and purchased only about 50 million shares, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) came in second with a net sell of 166.34 million shares.
PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) followed with a net sell of 113.51 million, resulting from the sale of 185.57 million and the purchase of 72 million shares of this e-commerce issuer.
Foreign investors bought 120 million and sold 206.51 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), which had a net sell of 86.28 million shares.
Finally, PT Central Omega Resources Tbk (DKFT) saw a net sell of 58.23 million shares. Only 13.71 million shares were purchased overseas by this nickel mining issuer's investors, while over 72 million shares were sold.
Meanwhile, with a net buy of 55.27 million shares, mineral mining company PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) leads the top buy row. About 23.83 million of its shares were sold, while about 80 million were purchased by foreigners.
PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) made a net buy of 49.63 million shares after foreigners purchased 81.67 million BIPI shares and sold 32.04 million shares. PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) followed with a net buy of 43.36 million shares. BULL's foreign investors sold 14.19 million shares and bought 57.56 million.
Foreigners then purchased almost 72 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), while approximately 34.73 million shares were sold. Additionally, this media issuer's net buy is 37.71 million shares. Finally, the state-owned telecoms operator PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) made 33.54 million shares in net buy. Roughly 66.82 million TLKM shares were sold, and 100.37 million were purchased by foreigners. (KD)
