ISAT allocates IDR 266 billion to repay maturing bonds

JAKARTA – PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) has allocated IDR 266 billion to repay the principal of its Sustainable Bonds II Phase III Year 2018 Series D, which are due to mature next month.
ISAT’s cash and cash equivalents stood at IDR 4.45 trillion as of December 2024, more than sufficient to cover the bond repayment.
According to a disclosure on Thursday (10/4), Reski Damayanti, Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer and Corporate Secretary of ISAT, stated that the company has prepared the funds to fulfil the bond obligation. “The bonds will mature on May 3, 2025,” she said.
ISAT issued the bonds on May 4, 2018, offering a fixed interest rate of 8.2% per annum, with quarterly coupon payments.
As of end-2024, ISAT reported total assets of IDR 114.36 trillion, a slight decrease from IDR 114.72 trillion the previous year. Total liabilities fell by 4.04% to IDR 77.73 trillion.
ISAT shares rose 7.78% to IDR 1,455 in the second trading session as of 3.47 PM WIB on Thursday (10/4). The telecommunications stock opened at IDR 1,415, with an intraday low of IDR 1,405 and a high of IDR 1,485. (LK/ZH)
