JAKARTA – On Thursday, April 10, foreign investor transactions concluded with a net buy of 689.87 million shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This amount is inversely proportionate to the 646.94 million shares of net sell on the previous trading day.

In comparison to the previous trading day, April 9, the volume of foreign trade relatively increased today as well. The overall number of shares purchased by foreign investors today (foreign buy) was 5.73 billion, a significant rise from 4.50 billion. Foreign investors recorded a net buy of 689.87 million shares today, despite a sales volume (foreign sell) of 5.04 (down from 5.15 billion shares).

This time, the highest volume of foreign transactions was recorded for the shares of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Foreigners sold almost 1.75 billion GOTO shares, but 2.44 billion were purchased, giving this digital service issuer a net buy of 684.43 million shares.

The second position went to PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), which had a net buy of 91.46 million shares. BRMS's foreign investors sold 90.30 million shares and purchased 181.76 million. Following this, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) made a net buy of 27.73 million shares, following the selling of 34.45 million shares and the purchase of 62.18 million shares of this metal ore mining issuer.

With net buy volumes of roughly 23 million shares each, the final two issuers on the top buy list are PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO), an oil and gas mining and infrastructure issuer, and PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (CNMA), a movie theater issuer. Only one million shares were sold by CNMA's foreign investors, compared to over 25 million shares that were purchased. The actual PTRO shares were sold for 13.48 million and purchased for 36.67 million.

Conversely, with a net sell of 156.16 million, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) shares were the biggest seller. This e-commerce issuer's foreign purchase volume was 86.45 million shares, while its sales volume was 242.62 million.

PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), two national banks, were added to the list. While BBNI's net sell is about 50 million shares, BMRI's net sell is 106.46 million shares. BMRI foreign investors purchased 253.23 million and sold over 360 million shares. Foreign investors then purchased 19.91 million shares of BBNI and sold over 70 million.

The top sell list was completed by coal business PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) with a net sell of 80.91 and property developer PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON) with a net sell of 88 million shares. PWON's foreign buy volume was 42.81 million, while its sale volume was 130.81 million shares. Meanwhile, BUMI's foreign buy volume was 168.24 million shares, with a sale volume of over 250 million shares. (KD)
