JAKARTA— Foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange once again closed with a net sell on Monday, April 21. If foreign transactions had a net sell of 888.16 million shares on the previous trading day, the number fell to 232.52 million shares today.
Comparing today's foreign trade volume to that of the previous trading day (17 April), which was between 2.5 and 3.3 billion shares, we can see that it is still declining. The total number of shares purchased by foreign investors today was a mere 1.73 billion. The net sell volume is 232.52 million shares with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 1.96 billion shares.

PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) only had a net sell volume of 173.40 million shares, although still being in the top sell position. With about 204.82 million shares purchased and 378.22 million shares sold, this digital service issuer's overseas purchasing and selling volume was also relatively little.
After 90.31 million of its shares were purchased by foreigners, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) sold more than 153.31 million shares, placing it in second position with a net sell of more than 63 million shares. BUMI is a holding corporation for coal mining.
After that, foreigners purchased 18.91 million shares of PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) and sold 65.10 million shares, resulting in a net sell of 46.18 million shares for this nickel mining issuer.

With net sell volumes of 39.54 million PNLF and 37.18 million MDKA, financial issuer PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF) and metal ore mining issuer PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) concluded this list. 37.44 million shares of PNLF were purchased by foreigners, while 76.99 million shares were sold. In the meantime, MDKA's foreign investors sold about 58 million shares, and its foreign buy volume was 20.78 million.
However, the largest net buy, totaling 84.65 million shares, went to PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), a metal ore mining business. Foreign investors purchased 131.40 million shares of ANTM and sold about 46.75 million of those shares.

PT Medela Potentia Tbk (MDLA), a distributor of pharmaceutical products, came next with a net buy of 62.02 million shares. MDLA's foreign investors sold about 10 million shares, while its foreign buy volume was 62.03 million.
Net buy volumes of 34–35 million shares were then made by PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), BUMI's mineral mining affiliate, and PT Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia Tbk (ACES), a company that distributes household appliances. Foreigners purchased 102.77 million BRMS shares, while around 66.94 million were sold. Subsequently, about 41.05 million ACES shares were purchased, while 6.51 million were sold by foreigners.

Following the acquisition of 38.15 million shares and the sale of 6.76 million shares by foreigners, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), an oil and gas tanker issuer, finished the list of top buys with a net buy of 31.38 million shares. (KD)
