SSMS CEO Jap Hartono: Dividend approved at IDR 450 billion

JAKARTA – Shareholders of PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk (SSMS) have approved the distribution of dividends amounting to IDR 450 billion, or IDR 47.24 per share, representing 55% of the 2024 net profit of IDR 819.53 billion.
The dividends will be distributed to shareholders whose names are recorded in the Shareholders List (DPS) on May 2, 2025, with payments scheduled for May 21, 2025.
This decision was approved at the company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held on Monday (21/4). In addition, SSMS also held an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) to expand the board of directors.
Shareholders approved the appointments of Jahja Tanudjaja Adelai and Roshan Chakravarthy as Directors of SSMS.
Jap Hartono, President Director of SSMS, stated that the company continues to enhance competitiveness and create added value through innovation and downstream integration.
“SSMS’s innovations not only improve productivity but also enable the development of higher value-added products that are more competitive in both domestic and international markets,” Hartono said, as quoted by various media on Tuesday (22/4).
It is worth noting that SSMS did not distribute dividends for the 2023 financial year due to a decline in equity following an increase in shareholding in its subsidiary, PT Citra Borneo Utama Tbk (CBUT).
Hartono added that following the increased shareholding in CBUT, the company’s CPO is now directly processed by CBUT into various palm oil derivative products.
According to Hartono’s presentation, SSMS now manages 23 oil palm plantations, with a total production of nearly 1.56 million tonnes of FFB and more than 461,410 tonnes of CPO in 2024. (DH/LM/ZH)
