Foreign buy increased, net sell 283 million shares

JAKARTA— On Tuesday, April 22, foreign trade on the Indonesia Stock Exchange was once again a net sell. If on the previous trading day foreign transactions finished with a net sell of 232.52 million shares, today the net number is not much different at 283.98 million shares.
In addition, today's foreign transaction volume was higher than that of the previous trading day (April 21), when it was less than 2 billion shares. There were 2.92 billion shares of stock purchased by foreign investors overall. Today, foreign investors registered a net sell of only 283.98 million shares, corresponding to a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.21 billion shares.
Shares of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) continue to top the best-selling stocks. After its foreign investors purchased 513.08 million shares and sold 777.96 million shares, this digital service issuer made a net sell of 264.87 million shares.
Following with a net sell of 214.96 million shares was PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI). BUMI's foreign investors sold 517.83 million shares, while its foreign buying volume was 302.87 million. Its subsidiary in the mineral mining sector, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), also entered this list with a net sell of 24.12 million shares. BRMS's foreign buying volume was registered at 86.02 million shares, with a selling volume of 110.14 million.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) finished with net sell volumes of 47.97 million BBRI and 55.11 million BIPI, respectively. Only 394 thousand shares of this energy infrastructure issuer were purchased by BIPI's foreign investors, who sold 55.51 million shares. Then, despite having only purchased 37.88 million shares of this banking issuer, BBRI's foreign investors sold 85.85 million shares.

PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) came in second with a net buy of 63.99 million shares. This metal ore mining issuer's foreign buy volume was 134.20 million, while its sales volume was 70.21 million.
Net buy volumes of about 38 million shares were made by PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and PT (ACES). Nevertheless, ACES's foreign purchase volume was 48.03 million, with 10.28 million shares sold by foreigners, but OASA's foreign purchase volume was 118.01 million, and its sales volume was about 80 million.
With a net buy of 29.03 million shares, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) concluded today's net foreign news. Over 60 million shares of this national bank were purchased by foreign investors, while over 31 million shares were sold. (KD)
