JCI rises 0.94% after foreign investors pour in trillions of funds

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) ended trading on Friday (16/5) today at 7,106.53, up 0.94% or 66.36 points.
Since trading opened, the JCI had touched the lowest level at 7,009.85 and the highest at the close of the second session.
Share trading volume reached 25.75 billion shares, with a total transaction value of Rp14.92 trillion across all markets.
Shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) again led the Top Value list, which is a list of stocks with the largest transaction value.
The transaction value of BMRI shares reached Rp1.23 trillion and BMRI Rp1.22 trillion. BMRI's share price also strengthened 2.82% to Rp5,475 per share, while BBRI corrected 0.47% to Rp4,250 per share.
A total of 6 out of 11 sectoral indices moved higher, with the biggest gain in the Raw Goods sector 1.86%.
According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), foreign investors have recorded net buy in the last 2 trading days. With details of IDR 2.84 trillion on Wednesday (14/5), and IDR 1.68 trillion on Thursday (15/5) yesterday. (KR/LM)
