JAKARTA – On Wednesday, May 28, transactions involving foreign investors on the Indonesia Stock Exchange crossed to the red zone, as today's foreign net sell was 3.86 billion shares. Compared to the net buy of 380.50 million shares on the previous trading day, this number is very distinct.

In comparison to the previous trading day (27/5), when there were around 7 billion shares, the volume of foreign trade itself increased. There were 9.89 billion shares of stock purchased by foreign investors overall. Foreign investors had a net sell of 3.86 billion shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 13.75 billion.

Once more, PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) saw great trading activity, with 5.19 billion shares bought and 8.25 billion sold. Additionally, a net sell of roughly 3.06 billion shares was made of the parent issuer of digital services.

Second place went to PT Summarecon Agung Tbk (SMMA), with a net sell of 195.90 million shares. Only 151.39 million shares were purchased by SMRA's foreign investors, while 347.29 million shares were sold.

With net sell volumes of 173.05 million BRMS and 119.95 million BUMI, respectively, mineral mining issuer PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and its parent business, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), placed next. BRMS's foreign sell volume was around 220.13 million shares, with 47.08 million shares bought. Meanwhile, BUMI's foreign buy volume was 67.40 million shares, with a selling volume of 187.36 million shares.

PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) saw the sale of 227.74 million shares and the purchase of 143.90 million shares by foreign investors. A net sell volume of 83.84 million shares was made to this issuer of telecom infrastructure.

Conversely, the largest net buys were for shares of two state-owned companies. First, after foreigners purchased 419.27 million shares and sold 276.36 million, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), the banking issuer, had a net buy of 142.90 million shares.

Second, after foreigners purchased 342.24 million shares and sold 226.84 million, telecommunications issuer PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) earned a net sell of 115.40 million shares.

After that, foreigners sold 29.04 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) and purchased 116.48 million shares. There was a net buy of 87.44 million shares for this broadcasting media provider.

A net buy volume of around 64 million shares was made to PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA). This issuer had a high foreign trading volume, with 718.38 million shares purchased and 654.39 million shares sold.

With a net buy of 53.23 million shares, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), a metal ore mining business, closed the list. Foreign investors sold 64.57 million shares of ANTM and purchased 117.81 million shares. (KD)
