JCI slips in first session, foreign outflows reach IDR 363.53 billion
JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) edged down 0.03%, or 1.83 points, to 6,234.29 in the first trading session on Monday (3/8), after opening higher and reaching an intraday high of 6,273.33.
Total stock market turnover reached IDR 7.69 trillion, with 23.09 billion shares traded across 1.39 million transactions.
PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) recorded the highest trading values at IDR 417.12 billion and IDR 403.99 billion, respectively. Both stocks also advanced during the morning session, rising 3.66% and 2.42%.
Most sectoral indices posted gains, although five sectors ended the session lower. The technology sector recorded the steepest decline, falling 1.33%, followed by healthcare, down 0.88%, and financials, which slipped 0.51%.
Amid the JCI's fluctuations during the first session, foreign investors recorded net sales of IDR 363.53 billion.
