On Tuesday, August 20, PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk (FASW) appointed foreign investor Siam Kraft Industry Company Limited as its new controller. More than 1.36 billion FASW shares, or 55.24% ownership, were purchased by this Thai investor. In addition to producing packaging paper, FASW is also a part of the Thailand-based SCG Packaging group.

Foreign investors appeared to expand their share purchases on Tuesday, August 20, with the foreign purchase volume hitting 3.63 billion shares. This increase was due, in part, to foreign investors buying up to 1.51 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) for a net volume of 357.11 million shares. The foreign sales volume was 2.76 billion shares, and the net foreign volume was closed at 869.49 million shares.

On Monday, August 19, the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) purchased approximately 317.36 million of its own shares. After PT Danatama Makmur Sekuritas completed this transaction, the issuer now owns 5% of the shares. In the meantime, OASA's controller, Gafur Sulistyo Umar, recorded a decrease in shares from 55.58% to 50.58% because he sold the same number of shares through the same securities company.
