JAKARTA – The Boeing Company has pledged to protect its business amid the ongoing tariff war between China and the United States, which has affected multiple trade partners of both nations. This statement was made by Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, as quoted by Foxbusiness.com on Thursday (April 24).

Ahead of Boeing’s Q1 2025 earnings report, Ortberg sent a letter to Boeing employees, outlining the company’s progress, including its strategy for addressing trade disputes impacting its operations.

“For now, we are closely monitoring global trade developments, while benefiting from a strong start to the year and solid aircraft demand,” Ortberg stated.

He expressed optimism about Boeing’s business plans for 2025 and hopes that China will allow the delivery of aircraft that have already been prepared for Chinese airlines.

Previously, several media outlets reported that Chinese airlines had returned some Boeing 737 Max aircraft to Seattle, United States. (LK/LM)
