JAKARTA – The Business Survey of Bank Indonesia (BI) indicates that investment plans in Q1 2023 will rise above Q2 2022. The investments that will be realised are new machineries.

Erwin Haryono, Executive Director of Communication Department of BI, claimed that the respondents of survey seem optimistic regarding investment development in this early term. "The investment plan rises 26.70% from the first half of 2022, coinciding with the economic recovery and mass's mobility," he mentioned, as quoted Friday (13/1).

In the survey, the respondents listed several obstacles to investments. They include permit, interest rate, and infrastructure, in that order.

Investment-wise, the respondents claimed to plan the realisation of investments in machine procurement, factory construction, and transportation. (LK/ZH)
