BFI to issue IDR 3 trillion bonds, shares rise 7.69%

JAKARTA – Shareholders of PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFIN) have approved the company’s plan to issue its Sustainable Bonds VI, totalling IDR 3 trillion this year. The decision was announced by Budi Darwan Munthe, BFIN’s Corporate Secretary, in the minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM), quoted on Wednesday (14/5).
In line with the bond plan, shareholders also approved the proposal to pledge more than 50% of the company’s assets as collateral. The shareholders in favour represented 11.27 billion shares, or 91.88% of BFIN’s total shares.
As of December 2024, BFIN’s total assets stood at IDR 25.11 trillion, up 4.70% from IDR 23.99 trillion in the same period of 2023. Total liabilities rose 3.08% to IDR 14.93 trillion from IDR 14.49 trillion, while total equity increased 7.17% to IDR 10.18 trillion from IDR 9.49 trillion.
Meanwhile, BFIN shares gained 7.69% to IDR 910 at the close of the second trading session on Wednesday (14/5). Over the past week, the stock has risen 5.81%, and surged 10.30% over the past month. (LK/ZH)
