JAKARTA – PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP), the cigarette producer owned by Philip Morris, will distribute a cash dividend of IDR 6.53 trillion or equivalent to IDR 56.2 per share for the 2024 financial year.

The decision follows the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held on Tuesday, 27 May.

HMSP recorded a net profit of only IDR 6.64 trillion in 2024, down 17.92% from the previous year’s IDR 8.09 trillion.

Despite the decline in net profit, HMSP is maintaining a higher dividend payout ratio of 105.05% in 2024. The previous year’s payout ratio was 99.56%.

The following is the schedule for HMSP’s cash dividend distribution:

• Cum cash dividend in the regular and negotiated markets: 10 June 2025
• Ex cash dividend in the regular and negotiated markets: 11 June 2025
• Cum cash dividend in the cash market: 12 June 2025
• Ex cash dividend in the cash market: 13 June 2025
• Recording date: 12 June 2024
• Cash dividend payment: 26 June 2025

As of 10:30 AM on Tuesday (27/5), HMSP shares had risen 1.54% to IDR 660 per share.

On Monday (26/5), HMSP shares closed at IDR 650 per share. Based on this price, the company’s dividend yield is equivalent to 8.6%. (DH/KR/ZH)
