TLKM to pay dividend of IDR 21 trillion, highest ratio in 5 years

JAKARTA – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), Indonesia’s state-owned telecommunications company, will distribute a cash dividend of IDR 21 trillion or IDR 212.46 per share.
This figure represents 89% of TLKM’s 2024 net profit, which stood at IDR 23.24 trillion.
The decision was made at TLKM’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), held in Jakarta on Tuesday (27/5).
According to data compiled by IDNFinancials.com, this marks TLKM’s highest dividend payout ratio in the past five years. Previously, in 2019, the company allocated dividends at a payout ratio of 81.78%.
As of 3:00 PM local time today, TLKM’s share price stood at IDR 2,850. Based on this figure, the indicated dividend yield for TLKM is 7.45%.
In comparison, for the 2023 financial year, TLKM’s dividend payout ratio was only 72%, with a dividend yield of just 5.76%.
This comes despite a dip in TLKM’s financial performance. In 2024, the company’s net profit fell by 3.71% to IDR 23.65 trillion, compared to IDR 24.56 trillion in the previous year. TLKM is the parent company of mobile operator Telkomsel.
The Indonesian government currently owns 50.09% of TLKM shares through PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI), which serves as the operational holding company of Danantara.
Based on this shareholding, the government is expected to receive approximately IDR 10.95 trillion in dividends from TLKM. (KR/ZH)
