JAKARTA — With a net buy of 380.50 million shares, foreign investor activities on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Tuesday, May 27, remained positive. In contrast to the previous trading day, when there was a net buy of over 2.94 billion shares, this number has significantly decreased.

Even if it is still enormous, the number of foreign transactions seems to have decreased in comparison to the 7–10 billion shares that were traded on the previous trading day (26/5). A total of 7.75 billion shares of stock were purchased by foreign investors. Foreign investors registered a net buy of 380.50 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of approximately 7.37 billion.

Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) are still being purchased and sold by foreigners in massive quantities. 4.63 billion of this digital service parent issuer's shares were sold, while more than 5.12 billion were bought. GOTO's net buy volume was 490.02 million shares.

After that, mining contractor PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) had a net buy of 160.08 million shares. Foreigners were seen selling 191.54 million DEWA shares and purchasing 351.63 million shares.

Foreigners then purchased around 134.10 million shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and sold 43.65 million shares. This national bank had a net buy of 90.44 million shares.

A net buy of 75.52 million shares was made to PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), an issuer of oil and gas tankers. 101.02 million shares were bought by BULL's foreign investors, while 25.50 million shares were sold.

With a net buy of 31.33 million shares, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) shares ended the top buy list. Approximately 45.87 million shares were sold by this metal ore mining issuer's foreign investors, while 77.20 million were purchased.

However, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) was the stock that saw the largest net sell volume. BRMS net sold 148.28 million shares  after foreigners purchased 105.07 million shares and sold over 253.35 million shares of this mineral mining issuer.

PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), an energy issuer, and PT Aspirasi Hidup Indonesia Tbk (ACES), a retailer of home equipment, reported net sell volumes of 53.98 million and 50.42 million, respectively.

Around 141.61 million shares were purchased by BRPT's overseas investors, but 195.59 million shares were sold. ACES, on the other hand, had a selling volume of 55.02 million shares, but only 4.59 million shares of buying volume.

Foreigners purchased fewer than 16 million shares of PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO), a state-owned geothermal energy company, while selling 58.46 million shares. In addition, PGEO had a net sell volume of 42.47 million shares.

With 27.59 million shares, PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) closed the top sell list. Only 36.86 million shares were purchased by MBMA's overseas shareholders, whereas 64.46 million shares were sold. (KD)
