JAKARTA – PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) has announced a cash dividend distribution of IDR 2.7 trillion for the 2024 fiscal year, equivalent to IDR 83.3 per share.

The allocation represents 54.7% of the company’s 2024 net profit of IDR 4.9 trillion, up from a dividend payout ratio of 48.02% in the 2023 fiscal year.

According to IDNFinancials.com, this trend aligns with Indosat’s 9% year-on-year net profit growth in 2024.

In absolute terms, ISAT’s total cash dividend also rose from IDR 2.2 trillion in 2023. However, the per-share dividend fell significantly—by 69%—from IDR 268.4 to “only” IDR 83.3 per share.

This drop, however, follows Indosat’s 1-for-4 stock split carried out in October 2024, which quadrupled its share count to 32.25 billion shares.

As such, based on today’s closing share price of IDR 2,090, the indicative dividend yield has actually risen to 4%.

Data from IDNFinancials.com show that ISAT’s dividend yield over the past three years—based on the dividend payment date—has hovered between 2% and 3%.

ISAT’s share price closed 2.8% lower this afternoon (28/5) at IDR 2,090 per share. Since the beginning of the year, its stock has declined by 15.73%. (ZH)
