JAKARTA – Shares of PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) were corrected for the past two days since Garibaldi Thohir, its president director, declared his support to Presidential Candidates 02, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, earlier this week (21/1).

Based on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data compiled today (24/1), yesterday (23/1), ADRO peaked at IDR 2,410 per share and hit the lowest at IDR 2,320 per share, before finally being closed at IDR 2,350. The transaction volume reached 80.57 million, recorded in 19.793 transactions worth IDR 189.55 billion. Foreign sell of ADRO was recorded at 24.67 million, while foreign buy was at 17.98 million.

A day before (22/1), it peaked at IDR 2,440 and hit the lowest at IDR 2,390 per share, before resting at IDR 2,400 at the closing bell. The transaction volume reached 42.37 million, recorded within 14,888 transactions worth IDR 102.05 billion. Foreign sell and buy were recorded at 19.96 million and 10.64 million shares, respectively.

Previously, Febriati Nadira, Head of Communication of ADRO, mentioned that Thohir’s support is his own personal view and does not represent the company’s view.

Earlier this week (22/1), Thohir, as the Representative of Erick Thohir Alumni Amerika Serikat (ETAS) Volunteers, claimed that the contributor of one-third of Indonesian economy will support the win of Presidential Candidates 02, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, in one-round election.
